The CRET Innovation Centers (IC) are designed as a private sector dental office.
The agreement- the dental school builds the IC and funds the staff. In return, CRET provides all the equipment and merchandise for the IC for free. There are six different operatories; fully furnished by six different manufacturers. Dental Students have the opportunity to learn and use the latest technology and provide feedback to the manufacturers via evaluation surveys.

To date, CRET has opened five innovation centers.

On August 22, 2012, Loma Linda School of Dentistry opened the Hugh Love Center for Research & Education in Technology in Loma Linda, California.

On September 23, 2013, The Dr. Charles Dunlap Innovation Center for Research and Education in Technology was opened at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in Kansas City, Missouri.

The West Virginia University School of Dentistry opened the Dr. W. Robert Biddington Center for Dental Innovation on September 21, 2017, in Morgantown, WV.

On June 21, 2019, The Regions Center for Research and Education in Technology Innovation Suite was opened at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS.

On September 10, 2022, The Center for Research and Education in Technology opened at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.

Several dental schools are in the application process of opening a CRET IC.
